Grade Beams

A grade beam is an underground concrete tie beam that locks posts and columns together for maximum structural support. The grade beam virtually eliminates the possibility of movement due to weight and poor soil conditions. We recommend grade beams on all of our swing gate installations, from the smallest garden gate to the largest driveway gate.

Slide Gate

Slide gates can be a great alternative in cases where a swing gate may be impractical. Slide gates work well for driveways that have limited fore and aft space (or steep terrains) but have adequate side to side space. The weight of the gate rests on the track, the posts provide vertical stability.

Typical Automation Overview

A typical gate automation system consists of an entry system, safety devices to keep the gate from closing (not opening) on a vehicle, a gate operator (ideally located inside the property), and an exit sensor that opens the gate when a vehicle is exiting the property.

Community Gate Automation Overview

A community gate consists of an independent entry gate and exit gate on the same roadway. The entry gate island houses the ingress devices (such as telephone entry, card reader, etc.) and separates the entry and exit routes. Each gate has safety devices around the gate to keep it from closing (not opening) on a vehicle and an independent gate operator (ideally located inside the property). Community gate automation systems are designed so that entering traffic cannot open the exit gate and exiting traffic cannot open the entry gate.
